Rwanda is a landlocked country in Central Africa. Also known as “the land of a thousand hills”, situated on the eastern rim of the Albertine Rift, a western arm of the Great Rift Valley, on the watershed between two of Africa’s largest river systems: the Nile and Congo. Much of the country’s 26,338 km2 is impressively mountainous, the highest peak being Kalisimbi (4,507 m) in the volcanic Virunga chain protected by the Volcanoes National Park and also Rwanda has other two national parks namely Akagera National Park and Nyungwe national park. The largest body of water is Lake Kivu, but numerous other lakes are dotted around the country, notably Burera, Ruhondo, Muhazi, and Mugesera, some of which have erratic shapes following the contours of the steep mountains that enclose them. Rwanda is bordered by Uganda to the North, Tanzania to the East, Burundi to the South, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the West. Let you go gorilla trekking to see the famous mountain gorillas that shelter the Volcanoes “Rwanda’s wildlife Jew”. Volcanoes national park is where most of the adventurous activities happen but then Rwanda culture is unmissable. Every aspact of this extraordinary Safari was planned & executed around the needs of the guests. With great style, compassion and care for even the tiniest detail of comfort, Mr Mussa ledme through the reservation proces, answering every one of my pesky questions about how things would unfold as my young companion and I did our very first Safari. When a Gorilla booking prevented Mr Mussa from being our guide, he quickly arranged for the intellgent, articular Eric to lead our group Eric was so compassionate and sensitive to our needs. He communicated so well with other guides, so we could get to see the very best of the falls, and all the animals this NP has to offer. The last morning, Eric went out of his way to make sure we got a very close look at the lions we'd been stalking the night before. We found the 2 females, sleeping off the kill and feasting from the night before. Seeing them, stretch and wake and yawn and sleep some more was an experience of a life time. This has been the best vacation we’ve ever had. We spent 6 days with Paradise Adventure Vacations, and every part of our time met or exceeded our expectations.The biggest reason people come to Uganda is to see the great apes, and it was really important for us to see chimpanzees as well as gorillas.  Very few groups specialized in this, and Paradise did a great job making sure we were able to see both.  We have two children that are technically too young to trek gorilla, but Paradise helped us make sure our kids could have this experience. Their pricing was exceptionally reasonable, especially since it covered all the park fees and permits.  The best part of this trip was our guides Mussa and Yonah.  We worked with 6 guides during our stay in Africa, and these two were the most fun and had the biggest personality. They also worked the hardest of anyone to make us feel valued and welcome at every step of our journey. It was wonderful to get to know them. Mussa and Yonah were constantly going above and beyond to make the trip amazing, and even changed some of our accommodations on the fly once they got to know us, and put us places that met our interests better than the official itinerary. It was clear they knew their stuff, and they were great ambassadors for Uganda.We asked for mid-range lodging, and the places we stayed at were all great. My husband & I went on a 2 week trip around Uganda with Paradise Adventure Vacations and had an amazing time. Our driver Baker was very knowledgeable and kind, and they had all the details figured out for us to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Musa was very kind in answering all of our pre-trip questions, making sure we had good quality accommodations, and arranging our COVID tests. What an amazing gorilla trek in Uganda provided! I traveled with my friend, both of us being two middle-age women, for a 10-day trip around Uganda. The main focus for our trip to Uganda was to experience the mountain gorillas, but it ended up being so much more. To say that it was a trip of a lifetime is an understatement.There are many companies to choose from when traveling to Uganda, but now having experienced the trip and being able to witness many tour companies along the way, reasons I would highly recommend paradise adventure vacations is their communication, organization and passion.The communication was amazing. Faridah is the United States representative while mussa is the coordinator in Uganda. Both encouraged us to contact them with any and all questions and concerns, which we did. Before the trip we wrote (and called) numerous, numerous times with many questions and every single time our emails and calls were returned quickly with thorough answers to all our questions. Mussa is wonderful, but it was nice to have faridah as the United Representative to be able to call and talk with. After traveling to Uganda, I am more aware of the level of organization needed for this type of trip. Not only the lodge for accommodations but also permits needed for every game park, as well as the gorilla and chimpanzee permits and many small details I would not have even thought of. Paradise adventure  vacations took of every detail seamlessly. Even when our airline changed our return tickets to a later day at the last minute, (do NOT use Turkish Airlines!!), mussa quickly was able to get us accommodations and a park permit for an extra day.
